Following the first workshop on poverty reduction strategy in Iraq and Kurdistan region held in Jordan, the second workshop was held.
To better know the subject, with attendance of the president of KRSO, the member of high committee of poverty reduction strategy, and Dr. Mahdi. Al-Alak, the head of the committee, members from ministries in KRG and Baghdad, the second workshop was held in Rotana hotel in Erbil between 5-8/10/2016.
The work shop aimed to discuss new strategy in cooperation with the Word Bank, UN agencies to reduce the current poverty rate in Iraq and Kurdistan region that caused by economic crisis and the war against ISIS. The work shop took four days and on the last day, Dr. Ali. Sindi, the minister of planning attended the work shop to closely know the relevant aspects involved in this project where he focused on several important points in addition the preparation for next steps.
The first workshop was held by technical high committee of poverty reduction strategy in cooperation with World Bank in June 2016 in Jordan.
