270416020933.jpg270416020933.jpgA tow-day workshop on International Comparison program (ICP) was organized under supervision of Word Bank organization in statistics directorate of Sulaiymaniya on 5/4/2016.
Representatives from KRSO-consumer price index department- participated in this workshop to talk about the survey that is going to be done on purchasing power parity in 2016. This survey would be a seasonal survey (quarterly survey). It also covers the subject matters like health, education, employees’ payment, and building materials that would be surveyed at subsequent time.
International comparison program is an initiative that being supervised by word bank organization and has more than 170 members from countries across the world. Iraq is a participant in this program as a member of economic and social commission for Western Asia countries (ESCWA) that contains 14 countries. This program aims at estimate purchasing power parity of households and also collects data on GDP.
