To shed more light on agriculture and environment statistics situation in Kurdistan region, president of KRSO received country representative of FAO in Iraq, Dr. Fadhel.Alzabi and his team on 1/3/2017.
At the beginning, team talked about their work plan in agriculture and environment sectors in Iraq and Kurdistan region in future and making wider cooperation between two sides.
Then, president of KRSO revealed the activities of agriculture and environment statistics carried out in KRSO. He acknowledged the big gap in data availability in agriculture in general and agricultural land, number and products of orchards, and forests in Kurdistan region in particular that needs more efforts to obtain data in these sectors. He also mentioned that all suggested agricultural surveys to be done by KRSO from now on, where FAO expressed its willingness.
