KRSO participates in the meeting of experts group on refugees and internally displaced people statistics (EGRIS)

In the ongoing activities of the meeting of experts group on refugees and internally displaced people statistics, the second meeting was held in Kampala, capital of Uganda between 6-4 December 2018.
Since 2016, this group has the responsibility to prepare international recommendations on refugees and internal displaced people statistics with cooperation and supervision of Joint IDP profiling service (JIPS), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), statistics Norway, and European statistics commission. KRSO participated in this meeting as a member of the meeting experts group.
The meeting discussed comments and opinions about the draft proposal and relevant decision was taken.  The meeting discussed the following:  population, data, coordination and publishing. at the end of the meeting, it was decided  on arranging a side meeting after the fourth meeting  which is due to be held in Ankara February 2019, where the proposal report would be delivered to the group to be discussed. The proposal is to be presented in the meeting of the united nation statistics commission in March 2020 for taking the last decision and then be officially performed.
