This meeting was held in Amman, Jordan 18-19July, 2017. The participants were Parliamentarians, Policy makers, and statistician from Arab countries. From KRSO, the president of KRSO and the head of population statistics department attended the meeting.
The meeting’s aim was to discuss and evaluate the situation of 39 indicators targeted by sustainable development goals developed by international conference of population development program that have been worked on so far by Arab countries. The meeting stressed on hard working and factors that lead to expedite collecting these indicators. One of the factors that make this possible is the strong and better relation between participants. During the meeting, the experiences of some countries in achieving these indicators were presented and among these countries Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Maghreb, Sudan, Somalia, and Gulf countries. At the end recommendations and comments were made.
