Following the first workshop on poverty reduction strategy in Iraq and Kurdistan Region in June 2016, the second one was carried out in Rotana Hotel in Erbil. The workshop was held between 5/10/2016 and 8/10/2016.
The purpose is to make a new strategy to encounter the increasing rate of poverty that is facing people in Iraq and Kurdistan Region following the economic crises ISIS war.
The first workshop in this matter was held in Jordan in June 2016 by high technical committee with cooperation of World Bank (WB). Following this workshop, there was also a meeting between the president of KRSO and representatives from related ministries in KRG and Federal Government to continue work on drafting the new strategy.
