To measure big industrial production index in 2020, two training courses were caried out.
Based on the CPI department’s requirement and for the purpose of calculating industrial production index for large industrial establishments in 2020, training courses were carried out with participation of all statistics directorates from Iraq and Kurdistan region’s governorates. The first course was carried out in Karbala statistics directorate and the second in central statistic organization (CSO) between 5-7/6/2022 and 12-14/6/2022 respectively.
The field work lasted 10 days from 21/6/2022 to 2/7/2022, where the supervisors from KRSO and CSO monitored the local supervisors and enumerators during collecting data and updating the selected items according to weights calculated in 2020. The data was collected for the fourth quarter of 2021 for the months of October, November and December and the first quarter of the year 2022 for the months of January, February and March. It is worth mentioning that this is the first time governorates of Kurdistan region participate in the survey of the industrial production index in cooperation with the Iraqi central statistics organization.
