A workshop was held in the Central organization of Statistics in Baghdad on the mechanism of collecting consumer and residential rental prices from 24 to 26 January 2018 in the presence of the General director of technical affairs in the Central organization of Statistics and Director of the Directorate of price index and a team from Kurdistan Region Statistics/ Department of Consumer Price Index And a number of supervisors of consumer prices departments in the governorates of Iraq.
During this workshop the discussions focused on the different prices from month to month because of the difference and the credibility of the prices and their effect on the price index.They discussed periods and collection of prices and commitment to units of measurement of goods was discussed as well as diversity in the markets from which the price is collected. Discussion also took place of updating years and models of manufacturing of some goods such as cars, mobile phones and other electronic goods by 2017.They also discussed rents of housing, which is collected four times a year and commitment With its dates and the status of situation in the case of exchange of sample or price.
